K-12 STUDY CANADA Workshops

A variety of K-12 workshops designed to introduce and enhance the teaching of Canada are available to teachers through K-12 STUDY CANADA Centers as well as through other university programs. Nadine Fabbi, Assistant Director at the Canadian Studies Center, UW, and Tina Storer, Education and Curriculum Specialist at the Center for Canadian-American Studies, WWU, welcome the opportunity to bring Canada into your classroom--their expertise and teaching experience is available to regional school boards, individual schools, superintendents, principals, and students. STUDY CANADA Summer Institute (WWU)

The Center for Canadian-American Studies at Western Washington University offers a 6-day workshop annually. The STUDY CANADA Summer Institute is a renowned program that has trained educators about Canada for over 25 years. A second intensive summer workshop is occasionally offered at WWU on a Canadian theme of interest to teachers.

University of Washington Workshops

In addition, throughout the year, several one-day or weekend educator workshops are offered by the Canadian Studies Center, Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies, at the University of Washington. These programs focus on specific topics which address teachers' interests.
